Mommy had to go to San Diego for a conference so lucky me and Daddy got to go along. This is the view from our hotel – The Hilton Bayfront in downtown San Diego.
Off to the left you can see the Coronado Island Naval Base, with the Aircraft Carriers USS Carl Vinson (left) and USS Ronald Reagan. The San Diego Convention Center is the building in the middle, and off to the right is Petco Park, where the San Diego Padres baseball team plays.
The pedestrian walkway goes from the hotel across the commuter train tracks, and then down to the foot of Petco Park. Just a block or two left is 5th Avenue where I’m told there are some fantastic seafood restaurants. This area is called the GasLamp Quarter and it reminds Mommy of the new Yaletown.
Also on the picture, just at the entrance of the little peninsula park at the forefront, is Joe’s Crab Shack! Where we will be having dinner tonight. Haven’t been to Joe’s since 2002 in Orlando!
Daddy and I will see what the weather has in store for us tomorrow and maybe find a new adventure. On Saturday we head up to Carlesbad for a weekend stay at the LegoLand Hotel!!
