The Pepsi Challenge 2017 Edition With Healthier Menu Options

Let them eat cake carrots! or not? Apples? Really?  We’ve scattered both carrots and apples across our yard at different times over the years to feed our bunnies.  Though they are outdoor bunnies and not pets, they are not quite Watership Down bunnies and they enjoy sprawling in the sunshine in the safety of our back yard.  They also know that when we have leftover bits of apples and carrots, we decorate our yard with them.

When we had the fence built, we asked about the gate and the guy assumed we meant as low to the ground as possible to keep out the rabbits.  We said no, can you leave about 6″ so the rabbits can get into the yard.  He was confused by this but sure enough they left some space for the escape path as we call it so the rabbits can get into our yard.

In this 2017 version of the Pepsi Challenge, we reviewed the Canada Food Guide for fruits and vegetables and set out to confirm if out bunnies prefer carrots or apples.  Funny now that I said it, I haven’t seen a Canada Food Guide since the sixth grade.

Kiyoshi worked hard to put together the challenge table.  Now all we needed was to wait patiently.  Yes patiently.  No they haven’t eaten any yet.  Yes you can look again.  Maybe they will wait until you go to bed?  As in can you go to bed now?  No?  And just then, out of the corner of our eyes, a visitor!

So, there you go (says Gus).  What’s the Greek word for apples? carrots?

Our VERY scientific experiments proves it.  Bunnies prefer apples to carrots!
