As I scrolled down through my screen full of posts I saw this pending post. And I thought I couldn’t really have not posted this? Yet there it was, marked “Draft” . . . .
What was neat about this was thinking about all of the months in between that day and now, seeing the sun rise that morning through the smoky haze from the fires provinces and states afar. It was such a warm September that we walked him to school. The “Finding Nemo” clip gave me a laugh too because over the months of marginal teeth brushing I would always ask him if he wanted this anemone to sting him and he would always pause and say “…Yes”.
Fast forward to our 2019 mild March which was preceded by a -40C stretch in February with a few feet of snow that made his 2017 Christmas hockey tournament feel toasty at -26C. Yes you read that right, sadly that is many many months of lost and misplaced blogging.
In three months Kiyoshi will be 8, he’ll have finished Grade 2, and I’ll have missed posting close to two years of colour and black and blue memories of losing more teeth, bicycle camp, black eye(s), bicycle camp, hockey camp, six months of no teeth growing in, a new scooter, the 2019 World Junior Championships, and a lot of chocolate from Santa, the Easter Bunny, Halloween, Movember, a wedding, Movember, his first baskets and baskets of goals in Novice hockey for the SVHA Storm, baking cupcakes muffins cakes cookies and lots of icing.
Let’s see what other posts are in here to fill in some blanks.
